1997-1999. The beginning.
David Kao founded Sunfield Audio, opening the Shenzhen plant and Chiba acoustic office in Japan. Sunfield started CNC machining, vacuum lamination and PU/PE painting.
2000-2004. The glossy spray production exceeds 1,000,000 pieces per year.
In the first half of the 2000s the production developments led to a total annual production of PU/PE glossy spray speaker cabinet in excess of 1,000,000 pieces. In 2004 Sunfield received ISO 9001 certification, confirming the company's quality management system. During that period opened also the support and sales office in the USA.
2005-2009. New investments.
Sunfield added BMC/SMC molding from raw materials, process them into molded parts, assemble molded parts into product and at least finish the product. The electronic and drivers assembly line is created and the development of paints without or with a low content of Volatile Organic Compounds began.
2010-2015. New automation machinery.
In those years, Sunfield strengthened its production capacity with automated spraying machines of 3/5 AXIS, and an automated polishing system. Great attention was also given to updating and strengthening of the quality control procedures.
2016-2020. Opened the new factory in ZhongShan.
Sunfield opened a second factory dedicated to the painting of cabinets in Zhongshan and developed precision CNC machining.
The next steps.
After the opening of the second factory, Sunfield is designing a 3rd Factory in China and several new robotic automation installations. Sunfield is also planning a new OEM plant in the Philippines or Vietnam, but currently planning has been putting on hold due to the Covid situation.
